Levon's Mental Balance Balance
Donation protected
Levon (as in LEE-von) and Lucy were adopted December 2012 by Dani from the Nebraska Pug rescue. They are a bonded pair and were specifically adopted out with the instructions that they needed to stay together because they are liter mates and have spent their lives together from birth. If you spend time around them, it is easy to see how bonded they are. Lucy and Levon get their names from songs sung by Elton John.
Levon adores guest visits and will gladly be the "guest pug" for sleep-overs. There isn't a person or dog he's met that he hasn't liked...as long as they don't mess with his sister. He's just a super chill & loving guy with the sweetest disposition. He understands that Lucy is the boss, and is known to have a "loose-licker" he gladly puts to use. He loves to clean Lucy's face and ears, and will gladly give out kisses and cleanings to humans too.

At barely the age of five, Levon started having seizures in 2014 and has rapidly escalated from one in 6 months, to a grand mal seizure, followed by cluster seizures a few weeks later, to 2 grand mal seizures within 24 hours a week after a cluster seizure. The escalation of seizures is concerning and there is a great need to tackle Levon's health issues to ensure that he and Lucy and enjoy a long life together.
At this point, it is unclear if Levon's seizures are from epilepsy, a potential brain tumor, pug-dog encephalitis, or something else. To fully diagnose the root cause of the seizures to get the correct treatment for Levon requires a MRI, and potentially a spinal tap which is estimated to cost at least $2500, not including the additionall blood testing, medications, and follow ups with the neurologist. He may have to be on medicine for the rest of his life, which may require monthly testing. Levon already has accumulated $1000 in vet bills prior to this next line of treatment.
Your help is greatly appreciated in seeing that he has the proper treatment to ensure many more good years of life with his sis and Dani.
