GB Uni Ice Hockey DREAM OPPORTUNITY

So, a little about me:

My name is Leonie and fun fact about me, I play ice hockey! I am delighted to say that I have been selected to play for the Great Britain University Ice Hockey team; one of my biggest achievements yet.

This is a huge deal to me for a few reasons. A couple of years ago I was selected for the squad but was unfortunately unable to make the trip and was absolutely gutted. However, my time has come, and luckily enough I am able to go as an alumni. This is the last year I am eligible to make the squad and therefore my last opportunity to represent the country.

About the FISU games:

We will be competing in the FISU World University Games (like the Winter Olympics for universities, how cool!). The event will take place 11th-20th January and will be hosted in Torino, Italy. We will go on to play some of the best teams in the world including the likes of Canada and Czech Republic!

Funding:

Whilst I am representing University of Kent, it currently doesn't seem that I am able to receive any funding due to being alumni. This means that I will need to fund the trip myself. Therefore, if there is any way you are able to support me in helping me make this trip of a lifetime, it would be massively appreciated! I hope I can score a goal or two in return!
