GB BOBSLEIGH BRAKEWOMAN JLL

Donation protected
In March/April 2023 I was introduced to Bobsleigh at BBSA held Talent ID events where I instantly pushed faster than the standard to represent Great Britain as a Brakewoman at international level

In May I began testing for a place on the 23/24 season GB squad and in August made the cut to carry on training with their brilliant current and prospective female athletes

In between driving to and from Derbyshire and Somerset for sessions at the University of Bath’s push track, I’ve been training in the gym and at various athletics tracks 6 days a week, working full time and had a brief stint in A&E for treatment on some impressive burns obtained by sending myself head first down the push track during training.

In mid September I made my first national team and was selected to represent Great Britain as a Brakewoman in the Europa Cup with the season starting October 2023!

It may come as a surprise to you to read that representing your country doesn’t automatically qualify you for funding and I unfortunately have none, this is the case for too many athletes in the sport.

Whilst I’ll be digging into my savings to make it happen, I’m reaching out for donations and sponsors to help me afford kit, travel, accommodation and to help Great Britain’s powerhouse female pilots be as competitive on the ice as possible.

Your support and contribution is massively appreciated
