In 2013 I became the very happy owner of a brand new, bright blue, Toyota Yaris. In the years since, we have traveled many a mile together.
Most importantly my two jobs require me to be in and out of the car all day. My job as a performer and assistant in multiple organizations means I have to drive all over central AR to earn my keep.
Alas, we have come to a rough patch. Another driver swerved into my lane and took the front bumper off the Blueberry. Insurance companies being what they are, her insurance company will not be covering any repair costs.
Due to complications regarding my return from England, I was uninsured at the time. I therefore have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Obviously, if my financial situation was such that I had to drive an uninsured car to get to work to make money, it's not good enough to pay for the 4K+ repair costs.
I would wait to make the repairs until I could pay for it myself, but as I said, my two jobs require a great deal of driving. If I don't have a car, I can't work to make the money I need to pay to fix it. It's a pretty crummy cycle.
I am doing the best I can to meet the costs myself, but any help you are willing to give me would be much appreciated. All I can say is that I will do my best to pay your generosity forward as soon as I am able to.
