As academics in Irish universities, we are raising funds in solidarity with our colleagues in Palestine.

One of the first targets of this conflict were institutions of higher learning, with the view of defeating the Palestinian people’s right to a better future. A future carried in the minds of their youth seeking an education.

This fund is to assist our academic colleagues in Palestine to move forward with their futures. The fund will aid Gazan academics in their goal of conducting research in Ireland (pending a successful grant application). The funds will go towards their transit and logistics. If this grant application is unsuccessful, this fund will go towards the continuation of their research and learning in Gaza.

It will commence with a marathon in the North of Ireland on Saturday the 20th of September. Fundraisers will be coming throughout the year and will update the page with new upcoming events. We hope to include concerts and art fairs and if you wish to contribute please do let us know!
