Gaza No one chooses where they will be born.

No one chooses where they will be born. And gaza is the most dangerous place in the world to be a child (Doctors without borders).

Hi, my name is Yasmin (Netherlands) and I'm raising money for my friend Shreef Al-Jabour, in Gaza. Shreef is a very positive person with a big heart - not the type to ask strangers for help. Before the war, he had a bright future. In his spare time, he liked to do sports and spend time with family, friends, and his cat Lulu. When the war started, he lost his father, but there was no time to grieve. As the oldest son, he became responsible for the family. Life has never been the same since. There is nothing left of their house or their previous life. Shreef and his family - including his 3-month-old son, his ill mother, his younger brother (16), and cat Lulu - are forced to live in an 'improvised home. ' The infrastructure in Gaza is totally destroyed, so basic things like getting clean water are a struggle. The same goes for getting baby formula, diapers, medicine for his mom, and food for Lulu. Everything is scarce, and the trip to get these things is dangerous and takes a long time (all by foot).
The attacks have not stopped, and the danger of unexploded ordnance is very real. Limited trucks are allowed into Gaza, and prices of basic needs are extremely high. The price of one tin of baby formula costs about $100. While most people are preparing for Christmas and the holiday season, Shreef prepares for the cold winter months.

From time to time Shreef post about his life on X @shreefjamal23.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

'I am Shreef Al-Jabour, a 23-year-old living in Gaza under the harsh conditions of war. I am struggling to keep my family and my cat alive under a siege that has lasted for more than 700 days, as the humanitarian situation worsens to unbearable levels. After losing my father, I became the sole provider for my family, taking care of my cat Lulu and my little son Jamal. My family suffers from displacement and destruction—we live in constant fear and anxiety, facing new challenges every day, from food shortages to the ongoing threat of violence.

The situation grows more difficult each day and leaves us without hope. I dream of escaping with my family, my cat Lulu, and Jamal to a safe place where we can live a dignified life. I ask for your support and kindness in these hard times. I appeal to your compassion to help provide food and basic necessities for me, my cat Lulu, and my son Jamal so we can survive these cruel conditions. Your empathy means the world to us, and even the smallest donation can make a big difference and save our lives. Thank you for your understanding and support.'

Your donations will be transferred to Shreef via PayPal. Shreef will have to convert this to shekels at a very unfavorable exchange rate. The money will be used for things we take for granted, like clean water, medicine, food, and diapers. If and when it becomes an option, Shreef will also use the funds to evacuate with his family, to secure a better and safer future. Please consider to donate ❤

'This is more than a donation. It's your mark on history.'
❤ Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts ❤
