Help Gaza's Children Tell Their Stories
Imagine being ten years old.
Instead of going to school, you wake up every morning in a crowded shelter.
Instead of playing with your friends, you spend your days surrounded by fear and uncertainty.
This is the daily reality for thousands of children in Gaza.
Yet even in the darkest circumstances... children continue to dream.
My name is Haneen Koraz, and I am a stop-motion animation filmmaker from Gaza. For years, I have dedicated my work to teaching children how to create animated films. During the war, my team and I worked alongside children to produce more than 60 animated films, through which they expressed their fears, dreams, memories, and hopes.
These films became much more than animation. They became a safe space for emotional expression, psychological healing, and restoring a sense of hope in the midst of war.
Today, we want to bring these films back to the children who created them.
Our Project: Gaza Mobile Screen
Gaza Mobile Screen brings a mobile cinema to shelters, displacement camps, and temporary schools across North, Central, and South Gaza, giving children a safe space to gather and watch films created by children just like them—stories that reflect their own lives and experiences.
Each event lasts approximately two hours and includes:
A screening of 10 animated films created by the talented children of Gaza.
A safe discussion where children can express their feelings and share their thoughts.
An interactive art workshop where children learn character design, storyboarding, and create new stories from their own imagination.
For just two hours...
Children forget the sounds of war.
They laugh.
They create.
They imagine.
And they remember what it feels like to simply be children.
Our Goal
To organize 90 mobile cinema events across 90 shelters, temporary schools, and displacement camps, reaching approximately 4,500 children, along with members of their families throughout the Gaza Strip.
How Your Donation Will Help
Your support will help provide:
Art supplies and creative materials for children.
Transportation for the mobile cinema between shelters and displacement camps.
Generator rentals to power the screenings in areas without electricity.
Safe creative activities that offer children opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and psychosocial support.
Examples of Your Impact
$100 helps cover transportation costs for the mobile cinema between shelters.
$250 helps fund one interactive art workshop for children.
$100 contributes to organizing a complete mobile cinema event for displaced children and their families.
$125 covers the cost of renting a generator for one day of screenings.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, gives a child the opportunity to smile, create, and reclaim a piece of their childhood.
Children do not choose where they are born.
But together, we can choose whether they face tomorrow with fear... or with hope.
Stand with the children of Gaza.
Help them tell their stories.
Help them smile again.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity. ️
