Update from Gaza – July 2025
More than a year ago, I told you that my sister Sanabel was able to leave Gaza. But we, her family, are still here, trying to survive.
We have been displaced for 14 months now. Our home was burned down, and we recently heard that our entire neighborhood was destroyed and leveled.
There has been no electricity or gas since the beginning of the genocide nearly two years ago. Every day, we search for food, then cook using firewood — which is very expensive.
Seven of us are still stuck here. The Rafah border has been closed for over a year, and no one else has been able to leave. This campaign and your donations are our only way to survive.
There were many days with no food at all. Most of the time, we only eat one meal of lentils. Prices are unimaginable — a bag of flour now costs $2,000.
The bombing never stops. We were forced to move several times, and each time we had to pay over $500 just to find a car and escape the danger.
Life here is unbearable. The cost of living is beyond anything we can handle. We truly need every bit of support.
Every single dollar makes a difference — it helps us eat, cook, and stay alive.
Please don’t leave us alone. Share our campaign and keep supporting us.

Note from Ruby : So far, almost all the money raised had been transferred to Sanabel to help her family. Do not hesitate to reach with her via instagram and tiktok. You can also reach to Aseel via the @Sanabelfamily. The money helps to pay for food, displacement, tents.
None of the money raised is for me, i don't take any commission. Doing this is my way to feel a bit helpful during this awful period. All together we can help.

This is sanabel talking to you from the heart of Gaza, Rafah.
And that's my life before the genocide.
I am reaching out to you to help me and my family leave Gaza and make it to Egypt. I just want to make sure my family and I enjoys the most basic human right ever, THE RIGHT TO LIFE!
Putting my family's story into words to seek donations for their exit from Gaza is a profoundly painful endeavor and it absolutely hurts every fiber of my being. This circumstance wouldn't be our reality if it weren't for Egypt imposing an exorbitant fee, which has now become around &5.000 to $6.000 per person, to leave Gaza. Trust me, as Gazans, the thought of permanently leaving our home is unimaginable, and under normal circumstances, we would never contemplate such a departure. Hopefully my family makes it to Egypt and as soon as the situation gets better, they manage to get back and rebuild the house once again. It’s worth mentioning that this fund-raising campaign is only to secure my family’s departure to Egypt.
Expenses cutdown:
Egypt fees: &5,000 to $6,000 per person * 8 members = $40k to $48k
If you made it to here already
Thank you for choosing to be a ray of hope in our lives.
With gratitude,
Sanabel Al-Nirab.
26-03-2024:
update. we manage to secure 8100 CAD (6000 USD) for Sanabel to exit Rafah. We are now on the final steps and expect her to be able to cross very soon. We will keep you posted.
Sanabel still have 6 members of or family that need to be able to leave as soon as possible. Even if a ceasefire has been approved, it seams that a ground operation in Rafah is still eminent and her family deserved safety.
The 45 000CAD (33 175 USD) is to pay the crossing for the 6 members and will be spend like this.
6780 cad ( 5000 usd) = to pay the crossing for each member
678 cad ( 500 usd) = to pay the transport from Rafah to Cairo
