A Cry from the Heart of Gaza
My name is Hatem, and I am a father of five children from Gaza.
We were once a family of seven — my beloved wife, our four sons Mohammad, Bara’a, Qasem, Ibrahim, and our little daughter Nada.
But today, we are no longer the same… we lost my dear wife in the war, and now we are six — a father and five children, including a little girl who will grow up without her mother’s warmth or memories.
Our home was a beautiful dream that I built with years of hard work, hoping to give my family a safe and warm place to live.
But in one moment, everything collapsed and turned into rubble.
We lost everything — our furniture, our memories, and even our sense of safety.
We have been displaced many times, and today we live in a small tent that cannot protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.
We are surrounded by danger, fear, and instability, living in severe hardship and struggling just to survive each day.
During the war, I lost my beloved wife…
She was severely injured — her limbs were torn before our eyes — and she suffered for eleven long days without any treatment, food, or medical care, until she passed away, a martyr of pain and neglect.
The memory of her suffering and death will never leave us; it left a deep wound in our hearts that will never heal.
My children — Mohammad, Bara’a, Qasem, Ibrahim, and little Nada — were deprived of education, and their childhood was stolen by fear and displacement.
As a father, I am exhausted and heartbroken.
I watched my life’s work and dreams crumble before my eyes, helpless to protect my children or provide them with a decent life after losing everything.
We have suffered — and continue to suffer — from hunger, pain, loss, and insecurity.
We no longer even have proper clothing for the coming winter after losing all that we owned.
And yet, despite all this suffering, there is still a small spark of hope in our hearts.
We dream only of a dignified life — a home to shelter us, food to feed my children, clothes to keep them warm, and a feeling of safety that we have long been denied.
I humbly ask for your support and compassion.
Your donation will help us rebuild our home, restore our lives, and provide what we lost — food, water, clothing, medical care, and education — so that my family can live again with hope and stability.
Every contribution, no matter how small, means the world to us — it brings hope back into our lives and restores a piece of the humanity that has been taken from us.
Goal: 450,000 EUR
To rebuild our home, provide food, water, clothing, medical care, and education, and restore safety and stability for our devastated family.
