I am sincerely requesting your help to support a friend, Mosab, who recently evacuated Gaza along with his family. Mosab and I met in 2014 when we both worked for American Friends Service Committee. Mosab came to Iowa, along with colleagues from several other countries around the world, to participate in a staff training. Nearly 10 years later, we have continued to stay in touch. Mosab, his wife, and children (seen in the picture) were recently able to make to Rafah, near the Egyptian border, after escaping from Khan Younis under heavy bombing and fire. They left everything behind in Gaza, including their house, their car, and their belongings. They were then able to pay a broker to help them coordinate travel into Egypt. They are now safe in Cairo, but they are starting over with nothing. They owe $14,000 to the broker who coordinated their trip into Egypt. They need food and they need shelter. They are starting over from scratch and they don't know what the future holds or where they will go. If you are horrified by what has happened in Gaza and have not known how to help, please consider helping out a family I personally know by contributing to this fund. I have wired money through Western Union and that is how any additional funds will be sent to Mosab. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for your consideration and Free Palestine.
