A Helpless Father and Two Hungry, Thirsty Children in Gaza

In besieged Gaza, where destruction fills every corner, Ahmed Jamal Al-Na’ami lives with his two young children: the older one is three years old, and the younger has not yet reached one. They live in a tattered tent amid the ruins—no roof to protect them from the rain, no walls to block the wind, and no water or food.

One day, Ahmed sat exhausted, his heart breaking, when his eldest child came with innocent eyes asking for something to eat. All he could offer were his tears… the tears of a father helpless to protect his children, feed them, or even give them a sip of water.

Driven by fatherly love, Ahmed risked his life and went to the aid distribution points, despite the great danger, amidst tanks, soldiers, and weapons, where many went and never returned. There, he sustained severe injuries to his stomach and head, leaving him completely incapacitated, now lying in the hospital.

When his wife was contacted, their young children were by his side, learning that their father was injured and in serious condition. The cries of pain, hunger, and thirst fill the small tent, while the mother sits helpless, fearing for her children from everything: the cold, hunger, thirst, and the danger surrounding them on every side.

The children ask about him with small, innocent eyes, unable to understand why their father cannot protect their lives, why he cannot give them even a bite or a sip of water, and why the world seems so distant from their suffering.

The situation in Gaza is not normal… it is an unbearable daily nightmare. Every day, the pain and despair increase, and every passing minute makes survival harder and crueler.

Where is safety? Where is the food? Where is the water?

Two innocent children, a wounded father, and a worried mother raise their hands to the world, asking for mercy, asking for a simple life… just a chance to survive.

I met Raghda, Ahmed's sister, and her 3 children more than a year ago; she arrived from Gaza with her three children, leaving her husband, Haithem, in Gaza.

One of her children received medical treatment at the Meyer hospital. Luckily this summer Haithem managed to escape from Gaza and reunite with his family.

I know them personally, and I fully trust the information they gave me; please, if you trust me, also trust them and help as much as you can!

Un padre impotente e due bambini affamati e assetati a Gaza.

Nella Gaza assediata, dove la distruzione riempie ogni angolo, Ahmed Jamal Al-Na'ami vive con i suoi due figli piccoli: il più grande ha tre anni e il più piccolo non ha ancora compiuto un anno. Vivono in una tenda lacera tra le rovine, senza un tetto che li protegga dalla pioggia, senza pareti che li riparino dal vento e senza acqua né cibo.

Un giorno, Ahmed era seduto esausto, con il cuore spezzato, quando il figlio maggiore si è avvicinato con gli occhi innocenti chiedendo qualcosa da mangiare. Tutto ciò che poteva offrirgli erano le sue lacrime... le lacrime di un padre incapace di proteggere i propri figli, di nutrirli o persino di dare loro un sorso d'acqua.

Spinto dall'amore paterno, Ahmed ha rischiato la vita e si è recato ai punti di distribuzione degli aiuti, nonostante il grande pericolo, tra carri armati, soldati e armi, dove molti sono andati e non sono più tornati. Lì ha riportato gravi ferite allo stomaco e alla testa, che lo hanno reso completamente incapace di muoversi, ora giace in ospedale.

Quando sua moglie è stata contattata, i loro figli piccoli erano al suo fianco e hanno saputo che il padre era ferito e in gravi condizioni. Le grida di dolore, fame e sete riempiono la piccola tenda, mentre la madre siede impotente, temendo per i suoi figli il freddo, la fame, la sete e il pericolo che li circonda da ogni parte.

I bambini chiedono di lui con occhi piccoli e innocenti, incapaci di capire perché il loro padre non possa proteggere le loro vite, perché non possa dare loro nemmeno un boccone o un sorso d'acqua, e perché il mondo sembri così distante dalla loro sofferenza.

La situazione a Gaza non è normale... è un incubo quotidiano insopportabile. Ogni giorno il dolore e la disperazione aumentano, e ogni minuto che passa rende la sopravvivenza più difficile e crudele.

Dov'è la sicurezza? Dov'è il cibo? Dov'è l'acqua?

Due bambini innocenti, un padre ferito e una madre preoccupata alzano le mani al mondo, chiedendo pietà, chiedendo una vita semplice... solo una possibilità di sopravvivere.

Come puoi aiutare?

Ogni donazione, non importa quanto piccola:

Fornisce a due bambini un pasto per soddisfare la loro fame e un sorso d'acqua.

Dà ad Ahmed le medicine per curare le sue ferite.

Offre a questa famiglia calore e speranza in mezzo alla distruzione, alla fame e alla sete.

Ho conosciuto Raghda, sorella di Ahmed, e i suoi tre figli più di un anno fa; è arrivata da Gaza con i figli, lasciando suo marito, Haithem, a Gaza.

Uno dei suoi figli è stato curato all'ospedale Meyer. Fortunatamente quest'estate Haithem è riuscito a fuggire da Gaza e a ricongiungersi con la sua famiglia.
