Gavyn Quintero

Gavyn Quintero is a 5-year-old boy who is the youngest of three siblings and is really looking forward to starting Kindergarten. Gavyn’s idols are his older brothers and parents, along with Spiderman, Hulk, and Baby Yoda; he wishes to be like them one day. He is very energetic, loves learning new things, and is very proud of his dog Melo. Gavyn has always been a healthy child until one day he began experiencing joint pains that started to limit his ability to walk. Physicians suspected juvenile arthritis and through the process of ruling out other diseases, on March 2022, they discovered the real cause of his joint pains – Stage IV Metastatic Neuroblastoma in a high-risk category. Gavyn’s treatment road map is as follows: 4 rounds of induction chemotherapy, surgery, rounds of high-dose chemotherapy, two-stem cell transplants, and immunotherapy.
