PLEASE help our 11 year old son with the CHANCE of a lifetime!
The youngest of our three soccer players, Gavin has had a soccer ball at his feet since he was able to walk. We are a young family, and like most young families, have very little disposable income. My brother and sister split the cost for him to attend an FCBarcleona youth camp in June. He was very excited , because it said on the flyer that the best players from each camp would be invited to Spain for an All-Star game representing his age group for the USA , and a possible invitation to join the FC Barcelona Youth Squad. We laughed, and told him what a long shot that was! They were only selecting about 8% of the 2,500 players being evaluated. We told him to go try hard, be respectful, and have a great time learning. We forgot, for a second, how determined this young man is to play professionally. He received his invitation the week after camp ended. As excited as we are for him, it is an unexpected financial hardship for our family.
After struggling, we have only been able to come up with $1,050 of the approximately $ 7,000 needed. The cost break down is as follows-
$2,700- FC Barcelona training package for child
$2,000- parent trip cost
$1800- APPROXIMATE airline cost for COACH tickets at this moment (7/25/2016- 1 adult, 1 child)
$500 taxes, surchages, fees, passports

I probably dont even need to say it, but this is the stuff young athletes dreams are made of. He is beyond excited about this opportunity, and we really need help to send him. Please help us! His brother and sister are selling candy to try to help. Dad is killing himself working two jobs, and all the overtime he can , but Dad is also in school trying to improve our situation , so it is hard on him to work so much. We dont want something as simple as money to prevent him from being able to train with some of the best players in the world. And hey, you'll get your money back in autographs alone! (winkwink)
