Gavin's Fight Against Cancer, Leukemia and Sarcoma
Donation protected
If you've ever met Gavin, then you know what an amazing and awesome 10 yr old boy he is. Gav is sweet, kind, athletic, a great friend and he has the best personality and smile. Gav we love you so much bud!
On Tuesday March 16th, Gavin was diagnosed with High Risk B - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He started treatment that night and will undergo 3 years of chemotherapy and radiation. Our entire family is heartbroken. Gavin is a strong kid with a whole lot of heart, we have so much faith that he will beat this. Anyone that knows him loves him and his circle of love and support runs deep and wide.
Gavin has a long road ahead. He won't be able to do a lot of the things he loved before like skateboarding and riding his dirt bike and he won't be able to run around with his buddies for awhile either. He has to get permission from his doc to travel and has to be within an hour of a hospital at all times. Going back to school is out of the question for 2021. His whole world has been flipped upside down at just 10 years old. So this fund is first and foremost for him for anything that helps make his days a little brighter and keeps him smiling thru this. So many of their friends and family and even strangers have already donated thru venmo and our family is so appreciative of your generosity in spoiling him a little thru this unimaginable time.
I know so many people still want to support their family and I figured this was a great way to do that. My sister and Chris, were hesitant to let me do this, but this gofundme is for Gav and their hope is for him to spend some along his journey, save some for the future and donate some along the way. And should their medical bills grow out of control, I hope this fund can help them with that as well if they need it. Thank you so much for your continued support.

Figure it was time to add a quick little update to Gavin's story. If you've been around awhile than you know this fund was created when we received the first cancer diagnosis on March 16, 2021 of Very High Risk B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was set to end treatment (if all went according to plan) on July 24, 2024 but during his fight with Leukemia we were blind sighted with a second cancer diagnosis. On January 10, 2023 Gavin was diagnosed with sarcoma, a few days later we learned he was stage 4 metastatic with extensive widespread disease. We left the hospital Gavin had been treated at for just shy of 2 years hearing "I'm sorry, there's nothing more we can do." Gav wanted to fight so that's what we've done and continue to do. We moved hospitals, found a doctor that said let's try, incorporated everything and anything we could alongside traditional treatment. And most importantly, we never stopped praying for a miracle and Gav has had an army of prayer warriors doing the same. While Gav isn't out of the woods by any means, we had to stop leukemia treatment early, something that is never done because the reality is that it can easily come back but we are praying we've seen the last of leukemia. Gavin went from cancer (sarcoma) all throughout his body to nothing lighting up on his PET scan, what this means is there's no evidence of active cancer right now, I pray we can always say that. He's a miracle, where he's at today with his cancer journey is nothing short of miraculous. He's here today and thriving and we thank you all wholeheartedly for supporting us along the way. Prayer is powerful, so please keep praying for our sweet boy.
