Hi! My name is Aubrey Fiorillo. My nephew, Gavin, has recently been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called DIPG. This is an aggressive type of cancer that at this point has no cure.

Gavin will begin treatment soon. He will have to undergo weeks of radiation therapy to shrink his tumor and hopefully extend his life. He and his parents, Michael and Regina, will have to travel UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama for treatment 5 days a week for at least 6 weeks. Taking time off of work, gas prices, medical bills…. It all adds up.

I am asking for help to lighten the load of the financial burden this diagnosis will bring. This is a diagnosis no parent should be dealt and my hope is that his parents can focus on being with Gavin without the added stress of where the money is going to come from.

Gavin will be 5 yrs old in a matter of days. His life is just beginning. He deserves the world, he deserves a long, happy life. Now that he is in the fight of his life, he deserves parents who are present and focused solely on him.
