Gavin Fraser

Hi my name is Val Fraser and I am looking to raise funds for the funeral of my late brother Gavin Fraser.

My Younger brother of 45 was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in October 2023. Sadly he lost his short battle on the 9th of January 2024.

He leaves behind his family of 5 children and 3 grandchildren and his heartbroken wife and soul mate of 22 years.

The family have just recently endeared another close loss in September past, his mother in law Sheila Hunter, which has also hit this close family very hard.

Gavin was very proud to serve his country while in his prime as a soldier in the Black Watch for 8 years. His highlights were the Chinese handover in 1994 and dancing with the queen at Balmoral Castle.

After leaving the army Gav met Sharon and there began their life and family together. After his diagnosis of Lupus 10 years ago he became a hands on father who was always there for anyone in need.

Gavin was so loved by all of our family and we are absolutely devastated by this tragic loss at such a young age. Due to his short battle and age, there are unfortunately no funeral arrangements or funds in place. We would appreciate all and any donations so we can give him the send off he deserves.

The family need £1,000 before the funeral home will take Gavin.

The family would also like a burial so his 8 year old son and 14 year old daughter can visit him.
