Hey everybody, my name is Gus Day and I’m starting this fundraiser because my dad (Gavin Day) is suffering from lung damage from Covid pneumonia. He is admitted  in the hospital and he is getting surgery this week. It’s been a very tough time financially, physically and emotionally for my family the last 4-5 months. Starting with us getting evicted from our house on short notice. Right after that my dad had a seizure at work and hit his head and was not able to work for weeks. That’s when it started getting tough because they had no place to go and couldn’t work to pay for a place. Then after having about a month of not being able to work…and sleeping in friends/families houses, hotels and in their cars. My Dad got sick with Covid pneumonia. He had a lot of trouble breathing/eating/staying awake throughout that time and he is around 125lbs now. We took him to the doctors but they never gave him proper treatment. Now (since he didn’t have proper treatment) the infection in his left lung is not able to be coughed out or dry out because it had gone under the lining of his lung. So now the only way to get rid of the infection in through surgery. And with the last 4-6 month that we had this is a lot for us financially with hospital bills and not being able to work. Also we need to find a place for him to stay during his recovery after surgery.
