Early Easter morning, the Gautreaux’s returned to their home in flames. Thank goodness they were not home and are safe, but unfortunately, their dog Misty, and all of their earthly possessions were destroyed in the fire; the only thing that they have to their name at this time is their vehicle. We are trying to coordinate with Red Cross for additional assistance and the COA for temporary housing, but in the meantime, we have opened our home to them since the little money that they did receive from Red Cross (which was greatly appreciated) is almost gone due to two night’s hotel stay, purchasing a few necessities, food, gas, and a few clothes. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated, and the funds will be dispersed directly to the Gautreaux family where they will use them for interim housing, new clothing and amenities. To say the least, it is very challenging and heartbreaking for all involved, and any donation of any amount would help them tremendously and would be greatly appreciated.
