Scott, Race Gaucho Derby for Mental Health

Out of thousands of eager participants, I am one of 40 that have been selected to ride in the Gaucho Derby, one of the worlds toughest and longest horse races.
The race covers 500km through Patagonia in Argentina. Racers will chart their own course to aid stations sleeping in the wilderness while a team of international vets, medics and support staff ensure basic needs are met to ride through the race - the ultimate test of human and equine endurance.
It’s a blend of insanity, skill and determination to willingly partake in the Gaucho Derby and I couldn’t be more thrilled to take part in the experience.
Your donation will not only help me, but I am also raising money for adolescent mental health. I volunteer as a Bishop for my church and work with youth. I see the critical need and importance of mental health resources for adolescents as they grow and face ever changing emotional obstacles. Anything I raise above the entry fee will be donated to Choose Mental Health. Choose Mental Health is the national voice for children’s mental health. Delivering stigma-free hope and a clear path to long term wellness. I appreciate any support you can offer.
The entry fee is $16,500 for this year, plus I will be covering flights and gear for the adventure.
