So here's what's going on with Gato. Our little guy had to be rushed to the emergency vet last Friday because he was in pain and not able to pee. Which can be a life threatening situation, specially for male cats. After 2 stressful days there, they were able to get him to pee again and we were able to bring him back home. However, they found stones in his tiny bladder. He is currently on antibiotics; yet, this problem is likely to continue unless he gets surgery to remove the stones, which he is scheduled to have this Thursday.
If you have known Sara and I for a while, then you know we don't have kids. But you also know that Gato is our family and has been with us since our first year of dating 13 years ago. You have seen him in most of our social media posts and pictures, approving our activities, and in some cases even you!
Although he is now an older cat (14 years old), he is in good health and the doctors have stated that he is definitely in good shape to move forward with the surgery, giving us confidence that opting to do so is the right course of action. Nevertheless, this situation was completely unexpected for Sara and I, and now we are dealing with the financial burden of these medical expenses that we did not foresee.
The amount you see here is what we are spending on the emergency vet, visits, an d surgery. We know it is a lot but anything you could contribute towards Gato's medical expenses would really be amazing help for Sara and I, and of course, much appreciated by us all. Specially by Gato, who would be sending new approvals once this ordeal is all over for him! :)
Sincerely,
Nico, Sara, and Gato Saavedra
