Dear family and friends:

With deep regret and sorrow, we share the tragic news of the sudden passing of our beloved Bijoy Pereira this past Saturday September 10, 2022. He has been residing in Silver Spring, MD with his wife Carmel Pereira. He was born on January 20th, 1958 in Charakala, Bangladesh.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, three grandchildren, siblings and relatives here in the United States and Bangladesh.

Having just immigrated to the United States only 5 years ago, Bijoy and his wife were just getting their lives started in Maryland. He and his wife have been working endlessly to make arrangements for his daughter and grandchildren to come here to the United States for a better life. Those that know him know of his kind soul, generous heart and good nature.

His soul will be laid to rest with other members of his family in Bangladesh so that his daughter and grandchildren will have an opportunity to say goodbye. As the family mourns his death and prepares for his funeral services, we would appreciate any financial support you could offer. This cost will be used directly for his funeral services, transportation and associated costs.
