Welcome the Stranger Campaign

Tax deductible
Your contribution will welcome refugees to Dallas.

In just three years, Gateway of Grace has become the largest refugee ministry in Dallas, Texas, building on a model of partnership with Christian congregations of all denominations. Gateway helps individual Christians and congregations fulfill Jesus’ command to welcome the stranger among us.

This rapid growth has occurred with only one full-time staff member, our founder and executive director, Dr. Samira Page. Now, the board of directors seeks to move Gateway’s work to the next level with the addition of a second full-time staff member. Your contributions will add to our grassroots effort to make sure refugees arriving in Dallas from all over the world will be greeted in the name of Jesus Christ, regardless of their country of origin or faith background.

Never in our lifetimes has this been a greater need than today, when the world is experiencing the greatest migration of refugees since World War II.

Gateway of Grace helps refugees start over, many of them survivors of severe trauma, with donated furniture, pocket money, groceries, baby showers, job assistance, language lessons and more.

In this unique moment, Dr. Page sees God’s love at work, because “the Great Commission is at our doorstep.” Gateway’s model of partnership connects refugees with Christians who care, teaching volunteers and churches the practical means to welcome the stranger among us. For growing numbers of North Texans, these new friendships go deep. One-time “foreigners” become family members. “At risk” kids find ways to belong and thrive. And walls—and fears—go down.

Why this campaign?

This campaign is specifically designed to expand the compassionate work of Gateway of Grace by doubling the full-time staff from one to two persons. Your gifts will make this growth possible.
