Hi Everyone this is the Gateway P.T.O. President Ashlee Cossa. As some of you may know Gateway Elementary is supposed to be getting new flooring this summer and all. Of the classrooms had to be completely vacated. Everything from teaching supplies to our teachers own personal items were being stored in our school cafeteria and library, in boxes and whatever else they could store in there. With the tragedy of the 2 major earthquakes that rattled our town it caused the bookshelves to be knocked over and the ceiling tiles to fall out. We also had a water main break in the ceiling of the cafeteria causing the entire area to be flooded raising anything in it's path. As of right now we know that there was a inch and a half of standing water left still damaging anything on the floors.
Teachers and staff will start trying to save what they can, but for some it's to late. 

So we are trying to do what we can to help give back to our teachers and help them reacuire what they have lost and what they are going to have to replace of their own personal property's to get thw upcoming school year started with little to no stress. Please help us by donating what you can and even if you can't donate but can share this we GREATLY appreciate your time and assistance during this trying time.

As the president of pto we will be withdrawing the money into our personal account and then distributing it to our teachers into their teacher accounts at the bank.
