Gateway Fundraiser 2019

Through this fundraiser and our annual Soiree we are hoping to raise $10,000 for playground improvements for Gateway Montessori.  Over the past couple years we have focused on giving the interior of Gateway a face lift and this year we are shifting focus to the exterior. 

For the large playground where the toddler and primary students spend most of their time, we will be removing the mulch and replacing it with a neutral color rubber cement that will be safer and more cost effective for our school. We will also be replacing the small play structure. 

For the garden playground, we will be resurfacing with the rubber cement and making the area more accessible and useful for our infants and young toddlers. We will also add a shade sail to the garden, which gets very hot in the summer sun.

By adding more soft surfaces to the playground we are hoping to cut down on the number of band aids we buy each year and spend less time sweeping the mulch off the sidewalk ;)
