Hi there,
My name is Kenyetta Simmons-Sanders, and I'm 32 years old. I'm reaching out to share my story and ask for your support in my battle against Gastroparesis.
Gastroparesis is a condition where the stomach muscles don't work properly, causing delayed emptying of the stomach contents into the intestines. In simple terms, it means my stomach doesn't empty as it should, leading to severe nausea, vomiting, and difficulty digesting food.
Living with Gastroparesis is a daily challenge, but I refuse to let it define me. Despite its incurable nature, I remain positive and filled with faith. However, managing this condition comes with its challenges, particularly financially.
The only way to manage Gastroparesis is through regular infusions, which can cost anywhere from $300 to $500 weekly. These infusions are not covered by insurance, and as someone unable to work due to the debilitating symptoms of Gastroparesis, I struggle to afford them on my own.
That's why I'm turning to the generosity of others for help. I believe in the power of community and the kindness of strangers. With your support, I can continue to receive the necessary infusions to manage my condition and improve my quality of life.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your contribution will help me afford my medical expenses and provide me with hope and strength to keep fighting.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me in my journey with Gastroparesis. Together, we can make a difference.
With gratitude,
Kenyetta Simmons-Sanders
