Hola, mi nombre es Maritza. Y el motivo tras crear este go-fund-me es apoyar a un gran amigo que junto a su familia (esposa e hija) están pasando por tiempos difíciles.

Jorge tuvo una cirugía en Mayo de este año por un tumor encontrado en la espina dorsal. Lograron extraer la mayor parte del tumor, quitando también parte de dos vértebras. Esta cirugía lo dejo con minima movilidad de sus piernas y en cama con reposo total.

Actualmente le han dado noticia de que tiene metastasis en el riñón y faltan estudios para ver qué otras áreas/ órganos estén afectados.

Jorge es el sostén de la familia, y su esposa e hija dependen de él pago de su incapacidad para solventar los gastos de la casa así como los medicamentos que no encuentren en el IMSS y lo que Jorge requiere para sus cuidados médicos. Iniciaron el proceso de pensión por discapacidad el cual les han informado puede demorar 2 meses y están batallando en que le extiendan más incapacidad mientras la pensión se resuelve.

Hello, my name is Maritza. The reason behind creating this GoFundMe is to support a dear friend who, along with his wife and daughter, is going through a very difficult time.

Jorge underwent surgery in May of this year due to a tumor found on his spinal cord. They were able to remove most of the tumor, also taking out part of two vertebrae. This surgery left him with minimal mobility in his legs and confined to bed rest.

He has recently been informed that he has metastasis in his kidney, and additional tests are needed to determine if other areas or organs are affected.

Jorge is the sole provider for his family, and his wife and daughter depend on the income from his disability leave to cover household expenses, as well as medications not provided by IMSS and the medical care Jorge now requires. They have started the process for a disability pension, but they’ve been told it could take up to two months, and they are currently struggling to get an extension on his disability leave while the pension is being processed.
