Damian Rosas is 10 years old born on 05/02/2012 Damian is a member of a family of 7 he has 3 bothers and 1 sister and of course he is the baby of the Family Damian was diagnosed with B -Cell acute lymphoblastic Leukemia on 4/19/22 that Day our world turned upside down Damian had been suffering from severe headaches and stomach pain for a few months I was in and out from the Drs office various amount of times within those months the only thing they said is we will refer him to a neurologist and a gastroenterologist as days went by Damian kept feeling worse they would call me from his school almost every day to come get him because Damian wasn’t feeling good he always had severe headaches and stomach pain he always felt tired with low energy he used to play soccer ⚽️ but unfortunately he had to stop I requested a physical and got lab work done on a Monday morning 4/18/22 Damian didn’t feel so well after the blood draw he felt very sick dizzy and very weak on Tuesday morning I received a call from the Dr that Damian’s blood work was very abnormal and he needed to be rushed to Choc in Orange County Damian got admitted that day he only had 3.7 of blood in his body he was admitted for 2 weeks and he received 3 blood transfusions within 24 hrs and his first chemotherapy 3 days after being admitted Damian has been very strong at fighting this battle I’m very proud of him he has been very brave his first cycle of treatment didn’t work at all for him when we received those news my blood dropped to my feet and I broke down . Damian was refusing Oral chemotherapy for a few weeks it was a hard struggle his dad and I had to stay up till 4 am everyday trying and trying to give him his meds but he would refuse we started finding different ways for him to take it for a few weeks he found that he could take it with chocolate syrup but then he got tired of it after refusing so many days Drs and I my self where scare that he would relapse so we agreed and made the decision for him to get a NG tube placed to push his meds through even like that it was a hard struggle the tube would get clogged so many times and had to be replaced or when he would be nauseous and throw up the tube would come out on its own and we had to go get it replaced I lost count of how many times it has gotten replaced we pray Damian can over come this sickness I am very scared but we have faith ✝️ he will win this battle Damian started his 4th cycle of treatment he is getting chemo 4 times a week this month will be very intense it will be a tough one month process which will require me to drive back and forth from pomona to orange county 4 days a week financially it has been so hard with my husband being the only one bringing in income since I had to stop working to take care of Damian 24/7 we won’t loose faith and I really want to thank everyone who has helped us through Damian’s journey Damian has big Angels watching over him
