Garzón no fue un perro comprado ni elegido por su raza y exótica combinación de colores, fue un regalo que recibimos de alguien cercano, regalo que nos cambió la vida y acompañó por dos años. Era un perro sano y feliz, hasta que a principios de febrero comenzó a decaer. Tras estudios urgentes le diagnosticaron ITP, enfermedad autoimmune donde el sistema inmunitario ataca y destruye por error sus propias plaquetas Hicimos todo lo humanamente posible: consultas, transfusiones, medicamentos y noches en vela acompañándolo. Los veterinarios lucharon con nosotros, pero su cuerpo no respondió y el sábado 7 de febrero tuvimos que tomar la dolorosa decisión de ayudarlo a descansar y evitar más sufrimiento.

Aún con el dolor por su pérdida, y a pesar de tener un seguro médico que cubrirá parte de la deuda, debido a la profundidad y urgencia de su tratamiento hoy nos pesa una deuda de $15.000 por los tratamientos y hospitalización. Los intereses y plazos de las tarjetas harán que la deuda solo crezca y eso añade angustia a un duelo que ya es inmenso. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, nos ayuda a respirar un poco en este momento tan difícil. También agradeceremos muchísimo que compartas esta campaña con amigos y en redes.

Garzón was not a dog purchased or chosen for his breed or unique color combination; he was a gift from someone close to us, a gift that changed our lives and accompanied us for two years. He was a healthy and happy dog until he started to decline at the beginning of February. Urgent tests diagnosed him with ITP, an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own platelets. We did everything humanly possible: consultations, transfusions, medications, and sleepless nights by his side. The veterinarians fought alongside us, but his body did not respond, and on Saturday, February 7th, we had to make the painful decision to help him rest and prevent further suffering.

Even with the pain of his loss, and despite having insurance that will cover part of the debt, the depth and urgency of his treatment have left us with a $15.000 debt for medical treatments and hospitalization. The interest and terms of the credit cards will only increase the debt, adding anguish to an already immense grief. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us breathe a little easier during this difficult time.
