Gary Utley Medical Expenses Fund

I am Gary's ex-wife, Tracy.  Anyone who knows us, will tell you how well we continue to get along, and co-parent/support our children together.  It's because of our belief that our children deserve the best, that we've always been able to overcome differences, and help each other when necessary.  We've always wanted our kids to know that we not only have their backs, but we also have each other's backs.  Those values and beliefs are what brings me to GoFundMe.  

As proud and stubborn as he may be, Gary needs our help.  Gary was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on March 9th, 2016.  After struggling with symptoms for a few months, he (begrudgingly) went to his doctor and was immediately sent to the ER, for labs, and a CAT scan.  He was then transported to a different hospital for an MRI, spinal tap, ultrasound, many more labs, and was admitted for 2 days. 

Gary has been a QC bartender and Bar Manager for many years at places like Lollie's Irish Pub, The Arena, Del’s in The District, RIBCO, O’Malley’s, Uptown Bar & Grill, Chantilly, and most recently Shenanigan’s.  He is also a father of 5, including his youngest two boys, ages 12 & 8, who he spends his two days off with every week.  Gary does not have insurance, and due to his diagnosis, it’s uncertain when he will be able to return to work.  Full time may not ever be an option, we are totally unsure at this point.  This is especially difficult for him, considering he is such a dedicated, hardworking, man.  

We would love to be able to ease some of his stress and worry, since these things will only amplify his illness, until we can get him insurance coverage.  Any donation, no matter how small, will help and is appreciated more than words can express.  Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.
