Love will kick cancer's butt!

Hello everyone! My name is Nicole Benning. One month ago, my uncle, Gary collis had told us he was going to get an endoscopy performed because he was having trouble swallowing. As we all sat around and waited for the biopsies they had took, our anxiety, had grown worse and worse with each passing day,( even though we were all so sure it wasnt anything serious)maybe just gerd, which he has battled with since he was a young adult or a stomach ulcer or maybe gastrtis. They said it could take a week for the results to come in and it sure did! My uncle called everyday for the last three days with the worst anxiety I have ever seen him with and they finally got the results in. And the news was not what we were expecting. They told him he had esophageal cancer at age 45 and they would need to do further testing to see how far it had advanced. We were all shocked, scared, put it in easier terms it is one of the worse feelings you will ever have to feel in your entire life, knowing that someone so close to you has this awful illness and what they outcome might be! He went for a full body scan and that showed that the cancer did not spread and that it can be cured!! That is the best news you can hear considering the situation. So we all decided that we were gonna do anything we could to help him and his family out and that he was gonna kick cancers ass! Excuse my language! So that is why I decided to start this page! If you know anything about this amazing man, you would know he is the most caring person you would ever meet. He would help anyone that needed it. He is loving, kind- hearted,funny, and wonderful in everyway. He is the best dad, uncle, husband and poppop. Those kids love him so much and need him in their lives! He starts radiation 5 days and week and chemotherapy 1 day a week for 6 weeks. Then in a few months he will need surgery to cut the rest out, which is very risky and will also need to have a feeding tube for awhile. He will be out of work for months and him and his family will need all the help they can get to pay all the medical expenses and bills they will have. I would appreciate anything that you would be able to contribute to their family for this is someone that truly deserves it. He has helped anyone who has ever needed it whether it being money, projects, loaning out his personal belongings or just someone to talk to! It really means the world to me and our whole family for we need him to get better and not have to worry about all the expenses. He holds this family together and I personally dont know where I would be without him! My mom passed away 15 years ago and he was by my side for the absolute hardest time of my life. Now i will stand by him while he goes through one of the hardest times in his!
