Gary's Rehab and Recovery Effort

Tragedy strikes quickly, bringing change, chaos, and unrelenting anguish with it. There is no other way to summarize September 4th, 2021 for Gary Ryan and all of us. We were horrified to learn that Gary was in an accident while riding his motorcycle in Wyoming. He was airlifted to Billings, MT where he is under the care of physicians at St. Vincent Hospital. While surgery was performed to alleviate some pressure on his spinal cord, we have come to learn that the damage done will mean permanent paralysis throughout the majority of his body.
Gary's life and all of ours were changed forever in an instant. We never dreamed this could happen, but have been and will continue to navigate each day focused on his well being. In order to continue to do so, and to provide the best possible care for Gary, he will need to come home.
For this to happen, we need your help. The cost to transport someone with Gary's permanent challenges is astronomical and is almost entirely an out of pocket expense. When he is able, he will be flown through a specialized service to a facility here in Pennsylvania, where his care will continue indefinitely.
Gary loved riding his motorcycle more than most things in life. What he cherishes, more than any ride he has ever had, are the people that bring his life so much meaning and joy. Now, more than ever, those people have a chance to help him in a way that will provide unspeakable benefit to him, and those of us lucky enough to call him family. Know that any assistance you provide is met with our utmost gratitude and love.
