Gary’s National Team Fund

Hello, my son Gary has earned a spot on the United States National Coastal Rowing Team. He will be competing for the United States at the 2022 World Coastal Championships in Wales. Him and his crew will train in Barcelona for a week, go onto Ireland to train and get used to the water temperature and then they are off to Wales for the competition. We need your help! We are asking for donations for this extensive and once in a lifetime experience.

To be able to participate in such a distinguished competition is an honor, but it doesn’t come cheap, physically or monetarily. I am honored to be able to represent the United States and I hope to bring back a medal for my country!

Rowing has helped me as a person both physically and mentally. The sport requires such mental strength to push yourself beyond your limits to the breaking point while relying on your body’s strength endurance to put in the work. Rowing has helped me in those aspects as well as making lifelong friends and connections through the shared sweat, blood and tears through training, and that’s something I will never forget.”

Gary has been rowing for five years for the Great Miami Rowing Center in Hamilton, OH. Gary is a high school senior with plans to row in college, he has not committed to a college yet. This past spring Gary represented the Great Miami Rowing Center and the USA at the 2022 Copa America Coastal in Chorrillos, Peru and he raced at the 2022 Youth Nationals in Sarasota, Florida along with his other team regattas throughout the year.

We have to pay all of the expenses ourselves. Flights, hotels, food, entry fees, boat rental fees, oar rental fees, transportation, uniforms, training events in the USA, etc. Please help if you can. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
