Hi, my name is Darren and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit this page for Gary.

Gary Rowlands is a big powerful lad with a heart of gold and when he isn't smashing the gym he is running around looking after his wife and six kids. Safe to say he is a proud family man!

In 2020 Gary's world was turned on its head with a cancer diagnosis which led to the removal of one of his kidneys ( incorrectly as it happens!) Treatment continued and after several rounds of gruelling chemotherapy and his weight plummeting from 22st to 11.5st there was some good news. His tumor markers were low, almost normal. Gary fought like a madman training and eating and regained all the weight back that he had lost and was back to full strength.

Unfortunately the markers began to rise again and more treatment followed, radiotherapy first, and on finding that the cancer had spread to his liver and his lungs more chemotherapy! We are at a stage where the numbers are still rising despite the recent round of chemo and time is now beginning to be more important than ever. We would like to get Gary the best treatment possible and have found a London based specialist who offers treatment that is not available on the NHS. We are hoping to raise at least 30k with your help and give Gary and his family the best possible chance to move forward.

UPDATE Garys cancer on the lungs and liver spread to his spine , hes had extensive radiotherapy and ACE chemotherapy and his numbers are continuing to rise , its been 3 years now and Gary needs to be able to enjoy life with his children and wife . Any help donating when possible or sharing will be hugely appreciated .
