Gary's Funeral and Medical costs

My father, Gary Romel, died Monday March 20. I'm setting up this account for my mom to help pay for the funeral and possibly some medical costs and living expenses.
My father was a great man, husband, father and grandfather. He was a Secondary Math teacher for Marsh Valley School District in Arimo, Idaho. He worked there for 26 years. He retired early due to his declining health.
Since he retired, he has struggled the passed 3.5 years: Open heart surgery, knee replacement, a severe heart attack and a blood infection.
My Dad most likely died from another heart attack while he was still fighting off the blood infection that had spread to his heart. He died suddenly as, we and the doctors thought he was getting better.
My Dad gave up his life insurance policy when he retired early, and he never got around to signing up again. It was on the TO DO list. We always think there's more time, and there just isn't.
The funeral itself, the plot at the cemetery will cost around $12,000. Also my mom won't be able to afford her house without the dual income. She was also a school teacher. For 37 years total! They had recently downsized homes in August 2016, we would hate to move her again so soon!
