Nuevo Chico
This is the story of a young Puerto Rican boy making his way into manhood through sheer grit and resilience. Papolu seeks to prove to
himself and his father that he can make it in this world. His father, a Vietnam vet named Fito, is haunted by the memories of the war and finds solace in the very thing that makes him delusional: alcohol and pills. His mother, Olga, is the pillar of the home. She strives to bring
balance into an unpredictable environment with the quiet strength of a true warrior. And Papolu, well, not only does Papolu need to
mature quickly in the streets of Puerto Rico, it is also necessary that he make amends with his fathers illness.
