On May 9th, 2023 Gary Michael Gomes left this world. His memory will forever live on. He was one of kind, truly unlike anyone else. Layered. Complicated. Fully human but filled with the utmost faith in the Lord. Insanely smart, full of life, obsessed with sports and a deep thinker with a sensitive heart. Gary could, and did, talk to anyone and everyone. His ability to strike up a conversation, be it with a grocery clerk, a nail lady or a business partner, was unmatched. He was forever trying to be the best son, brother, cousin and father he could be. While it will never be long enough we are grateful to have experienced his warmth and his laughter as a grandpa. He will always be missed.

As we begin to plan a memorial service, and we think of who he was at his core, we have decided to create a GoFundMe to assist with the costs. Gary had an organic ability to bring people together. He spent decades of his life working at non-profits and raising money for others. He was charitable, he was generous and he was always willing to help those in need. It is our hope that others will help us, in whatever way they can, during this unexpected and unfortunate time.
