Gary was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), which is a pediatric leukemia, in November 2019. He has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and now needs a bone marrow transplant for the hope of a cure. His sister is a match and will donate her bone marrow for him. He will check into Stanford Medical Center on February 11th and stay for a month for more chemotherapy and the transplant, then will need to stay close by the hospital for another 2 months to monitor for any signs of rejection or infection. The funds that are raised will be used for food, housing, gas, and road tolls after Gary is released from Stanford, as he will have daily appointments to monitor his progress. Being away from home for this length of time will be a strain on our finances and any little bit will be so very appreciated. Thank you all for your help!
