Gary Totten Medical Expenses
Donation protected
My brother in law Gary was injured when he and my husband Dennis were volunteering their time helping clean up their mother’s flooded home in Fremont, Nebraska. They were cleaning out the contents of her home and hauling it to a dump site. A gate on the dump trailer was not locked into place and swung back on his leg, shattering the bone. He was taken by ambulance to the Fremont Hospital and later transported to a trauma center in Omaha. He underwent his second surgery on April 11, 2019 which required rods, plates and screws. Gary will not be able to put any weight on his leg for a minimum of 3 months, and will not be allowed to put full weight on his leg for at least one year. He will be off of work for an indefinite amount of time. He has a $4000 deductible to cover and is only getting 66% of his wages on short term disability. We are asking his friends and family to consider donating to help cover medical expenses and ease the burden and strain this is putting on he and Wanda. Anyone that has met Gary knows he is the most giving person you will ever meet. He helps everyone with anything they need no matter how big or small, and never asks anyone for anything in return. He would also never ask for this help, but we know they need it so please consider a donation.
