Hi My name is Donna Reese, My friend Denise and I have been best friends since the 9th grade. There isnt anything she wouldnt do for me or my family and others who cross her path. She is a true giver and ask for nothing in return. I am hoping that those who read this will open their hearts up to her and her son Ryan as she needs our help and many prayers right now.

Last year Denise lost her husband Gary Campbell to COVID , leaving her to raise and care for her son Ryan on her own. She just recently returned back to work full time within the last month and had to leave her job this past week due to a terrible accident involving her son RYAN who was a passenger in an ATV accident. He was Medi-vac'd to UVA hospital, where he currently fighting for his life in Neuro ICU. Ryan Sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury as a result of the accident and had to undergo a Craniotomy. Ryan Is 17 years old and was due to start his Senior year of high school this year. This family needs all the support and help they can get right now and with Medical Bills arising fast. I ask if you can help this family in any way possible, please do. And Most of all Say ALOT of Prayers for Ryan to recover from this tragic accident.

Please see below the message from Denise the day after the accident occurred.

I never thought I would ever have to be creating one of these (CareBridge Journal) but I know accidents and life happen . First and foremost I want to thank everyone for all the love, care and concern for Ryan and all of us. On Wednesday afternoon Ryan was a passenger on a ATV somehow fell off onto the paved road and injured only his head but the worst thing, Fire Rescue was on scene and had him flown to UVA and I’m confident with saying he was at UVA within at least an hour of it happening. His Occipital bone in his head was fractured and he had bleeding in his head mainly from his frontal bone. His intercranial pressure was close to being too high so they went ahead and totally sedated him so his brain could rest and heal. Pressures were still near being too high so they took out the forehead portion of the frontal bone (cutting it) to help the pressure go down. They store that piece in the blood bank to help keep it alive so it is able to be put back in months down the road. The specialist say this procedure is done all of the time with patients with his type of injury. Being sedated his inter-cranial pressure is currently good and so is his blood pressure. I have advocated to get him out of surgical trauma and get him moved into the neurological unit which is where he belongs since he has no other issues or injuries to his body. The Doctors and Nurses here are aggressive and staying ahead of the game so I’m very confident in them. This is going to be a very long road so I have to be patient but he is currently on the right track. I will keep you all as updated as I possibly can and I truly truly appreciate all of your love and prayers. ❤️

Ryan remains on a ventilator and paralytics. We are unsure of the prognosis but are very hopeful and pray that GOD protects him, heals him, and gives comfort in his namesake to Denise and her family.

Disclosure: All proceeds will be distributed to Denise Campbell via Certified Check on behalf of Ryan minus any Go Fund me and or bank transfer fees to assist with Ryans medical bills.
