Gary Price Cancer Fund

My father, Gary Price, has taken care of our family for our entire lives. He has been our rock and harbor. Anytime I have a problem or need some guidance on a decision, I can call my dad and he always has a wise word to give me. This past December my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. This cancer had been in his body for a long time. They found that it had spread from his lungs through his esophagus and up into his brain. The only option for my dad’s treatment was to be in Anchorage, so our whole family moved up to Anchorage to be there for his chemo and radiation for the next six months. Needless to say, this drained our savings, and my parents savings. We returned home for the summer after good news from his last scans. My family and I went back to work, and my dad went out salmon fishing. This salmon season was one of the worst in my dad’s fishing career. My dad had his three month scans shortly after he wrapped up his fishing season. They found that he had six new tumors in his brain, with one located in his brain stem. He went up to Anchorage immediately to begin radiation and chemo again. This is very hard for me, because we don’t have the funding this year to move and be with him and my mom during this difficult time. As well as my parents not having my dad’s income to rely on for their moving and living costs in Anchorage. We are asking for your support so that my parents can cover their cost of living while they are in Anchorage for my dad’s treatment, and so that we can make it up to visit him as often as possible.
