Hi, my name is Kara Jayne and I am the niece of Gary Powell. Uncle Gary wasn’t just an uncle to me but a father figure in my life. He was a loving dad to Jemma, his daughter, a great uncle to my two daughters, a very proud family orientated man. He loved everyone whole heartedly and had the kindest of hearts. He would be there for anybody and help anybody within his means. Sadly my family had the heartbreaking news of my uncle Gary’s passing on the 6th of August, which was very unexpected. My uncle Gary always said it wasn’t his time yet and therefore didn’t make any preparations for his passing. His passing came as a shock to myself and my family. As a family we have come together and want to give him the send of he deserves. A couple of family members and friends who knew him have mentioned they would like to donate towards his funeral, and gave me the idea to create a go fund me for him. This really touched myself and my family. Any donations made will help to pay towards his funeral and enable us as a family to give him the send of we feel he deserves.
