Gary Martinez Family Legacy Fund
Our community has felt the sudden loss of Gary Martinez, a dedicated Father, Husband, and business leader. Gary's passion for his family permeated nearly every one of his interactions. You couldn't have a conversation with Gary without mention of his beautiful children and wife, his fitness, his sobriety, and very likely random 1980's movie quote and a somewhat awkward joke.
He has left an indelible impact on those he worked and played with, and we are setting up this fund to help show our community love and support to his family through this great loss.
100% of the proceeds will be gifted to his surviving spouse, Jessica Martinez, and his adorable children Sam, Elaine, and Angelo. As an independent business-owner who was self-employed and the major income source for the family, we hope this can provide a nest egg to have something to help through their loss now and in the future. We hope this fund will give a small ray of hope in an incredibly hard time.
About Me:
I knew and worked with Gary for much of his journey into fitness, starting with biking, then evolving into a love for running, and eventually Triathlon racing. It was his passion for this sport (and for consistently challenging himself) that inspired me to complete my first ever run, my first ever off-road bike ride, and to keep reaching for the next level in life. I have worked with Gary in two different roles, and was honored to spend many days and countless hours of laughing together. Gary will be greatly missed, but his impact and legacy will certainly live on.
