In 2012 Gary was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Like everything in his life, Gary has taken it in his stride for almost a decade now, managing symptoms with medication and a huge dose of his signature humour.
However, his condition has continued to degenerate, and with the side effects of the medication increasing, Gary has had to reduce the dosage, and his symptoms are no longer under control.
It's come to the point where his life and work are severely impacted.
There is SURGERY that can help Gary.
BUT IT COMES AT A PRICE (which unfortunately is not fully covered despite top private cover). And with the operation and expenses, we have a goal of $50,000 to help our much loved friend and Hair Industry superstar.
Known as Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery, it will stop his tremors and even out his condition.
If we all band together and GIVE A LITTLE...
IT WILL MEAN A LOT.
Gary will get another 10-20 years of function. THIS IS INCREDIBLE!

He's a long time advocate for educating people on Parkinson's and you can watch him in action HERE
He's volunteered as a participant in a Michael J Fox Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative for 5 years.
He's part of a Parkinson’s Australia delegation to Canberra, meeting with Prime Minister Turnbull and Bill Shorten to obtain funding for Parkinson’s Disease.
An MC for the Neurological Alliance Australia event at Parliament House.
An MC for two Parkinson’s NSW golf days. Key contributor and host for 'It's Not Funny' events and website. He's appeared on Channel 2 and 9, building Parkinson's awareness.
And he's always available for others who have been touched by Parkinson's.
