It is with a heavy heart that I post this go fund me. My father, Gary Lamb had a massive stroke on April 12. The stroke left him paralyzed on the right side of his body, unable to speak and swallow. My father’s health steadily declined and he passed away peacefully with his daughters, sister-in-law, and a chaplain by his side on April 30th at 9:57 am.
The family is requesting donations towards memorial expenses and medical bills in lieu of flowers or gifts.
Gary is predeceased by his parents, John S. & Dorothy; brothers, Donald & Kenneth; and his daughter, Rebecca M. Lamb.
Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathleen; children, Sarah, Matthew, & Rachel (Alan) Wigmore; grandchildren, Wren Hughson, Jackson, Maggie, & Theo Wigmore; many nieces, nephews, other loving family & friends.
Gary was a gentle, loving man, father, & husband. Close friends and family knew him as G-Lamb. He was an amazing soccer and theater dad, videographer for all of his children's home movie adventures, set builder extraordinaire-- and the absolute best (and silliest) grandpa in the world.
Gary was absolutely heartbroken when his daughter Rebecca died in 2000. Now they are dancing, singing, and throwing a baseball together in heaven! He will be the absolute best guardian angel because he had amazing practice as an angel on earth.
There will be a Memorial celebration on May 23rd at 2 pm at the Old Meadow shelter at Ellison Park. Out of town loved ones may join via Zoom. Email lambsarah at gmail dot com if interested in joining via Zoom.
