Sudden and unexpected deaths are hard. One moment my father was on a ladder trimming a branch, the next he was 10 feet lower, laying on the ground, broken. Still arguing that he wasn’t going to the hospital, still cracking jokes. Mom called the ambulance anyway, “oh you’re going to the hospital”. Within hours, he died 3 times. Twice at the first hospital, and then breathed his last breath on a helicopter ride to the next. Leaving behind a shocked and confused widow and tons of family and loved ones. Less than 24 hours ago, we all lost our father, grandpa, papa, husband, and friend. Having no life insurance, this fundraiser is to help his new widow on her fixed income survive the financial part of this tragedy.
