Gary Heggem’s Emergency Open Heart Surgery
On Tuesday January 7th, Gary suffered an extensive aortic dissection. He was air lifted to Abbott Northwestern Hospital for a 12.5 hour emergent open heart surgery. His entire ascending aorta, aortic arch, and descending aorta were all completely replaced. He also had a stent placed below his descending aorta and his aortic valve replaced. This will obviously become very expensive very quickly. Open heart surgery alone can be over $200,000. Gary will also have a very long recovery that will leave him out of work for an unforeseeable amount of time. Any donation would help take financial stress off of the family. Thank you for your continued outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time!
