Gary Hawco Needs our Help!

Donation protected
Gary Hawco has served his community for more than 26 years as a law enforcement professional. Now he is in need of our help. In January of 2019, Gary was involved in a single car traffic accident when he passed out behind the wheel resulting in several injuries, to include broken bones. Gary’s doctors conducted tests to determine what had caused him to lose consciousness and found unidentified growths on his brain. Subsequent tests resulted in a cancer diagnosis with a grim prognosis. Doctors have told Gary he is suffering from a Glioblastoma, a highly aggressive and fast growing tumor for which there is no cure.

Gary has already had surgery to remove the growths and is faced with both chemo and radiation therapy in the coming year. Unfortunately, this will not save Gary’s life, but only extend it for a short period of time. At best, Gary will have an additional 15 months to prepare for the inevitable conclusion to this story. Gary’s quest is to use his remaining time to take care of his family the best he can.

Gary has a highly intelligent 17 year old daughter who is about to start college a year early. Gary is trying to set her up in life for a positive future. One that he believes he will not be present for. Anything we can give would be helpful and ease some of the burden Gary will experience in the coming months. Let's give Gary some peace knowing his daughter will have a good start to her college aspirations. If those in public safety could give just a little, it would mean a great deal to him. Gary Hawco is a good man who can use our assistance.
