There are a lot of words that can be used to describe my Uncle, Gary Grimm. Son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, hard worker, generous, loving, funny, adventurous, and more. Now we can add fighter to the list.
In mid-July, Gary was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer that had also spread to his liver. The following week he was put on temporary disability from his job at New Enterprise, a job he is very anxious to return to. Gary is expected to undergo surgery in early to mid-December with a 4 to 6-week recovery time; he is then expected to receive an additional six chemotherapy treatments.
Gary is deeply loved by his wife of 33 years, Melisa, his children, grandchildren, vast extended family, and many friends. We are here beside him all the way.
With all of this being said, being on temporary disability has dramatically reduced the monthly income for him and Melisa. The medical bills and monthly living expenses continue to be a worry. We want to help make this less of a concern during this time by being able to assist them.
Please feel free to reach out to me or any of Gary’s immediate family if you prefer to donate using another method.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
