Gary Corriveau - Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On April 9th, spring finally seemed to arrive.
Gary spent the beautiful day at the circus with his son and family. Later on he decided to take a quick motorcycle ride around the block not knowing that this decision would change his life.
Minutes later he lost control of the bike in the sand on a hairpin turn on Millville Street in Salem, causing him to hit a guardrail, landing just feet from the lake. Gary's injuries were traumatic, he was air lifted to Tufts Medical in Boston to be assessed and spent the night in surgery. The days following were spent in ICU heavily sedated. As he woke it took a few more days to realize where he was, what had happened and the extent of his injuries.
His family and girlfriend never left his side day or night wanting to make sure he saw a familiar face when he woke. Although he does not remember the accident or much of the last week, his injuries will be a reminder in the months to come the extent of which will require more surgeries, therapy and post hospitalization care that may include rehab. Each day he makes progress and his outlook has been very positive so far. He is determined to get back to his normal routine.
Gary's road to recovery is uncertain but his family is doing everything they can to get him through this. But, with uncertainty comes unexpected expenses. Insufficient medical coverage is unfortunately a situation most of us find ourselves in these days. The reality of Gary's ordeal is that it will be extremely expensive and an enormous financial burden to him and his family and to date, the limits are unknown.
Any support to eliminate this burden will give him the freedom to focus on his recovery and would be GREATLY appreciated. His family is appreciative to all the those who came together in their time of need. They also want to thank the first responders and neighbors who came to his aid and for the outpouring of prayers and well wishes. Please keep them coming and thank you for your generosity!
