Gary R. Calve
May 15, 1969 - December 9, 2020
Gary’s generosity, selflessness, and unsurpassed love for his family will always be remembered. His willingness to help anybody in need, his infectious laugh, quick wit, energetic personality, and compassionate spirit will be sorely missed. His free time was spent with family and friends, snowmobile riding, boating, fishing, watching nascar, and cheering on his favorite NFL football team, the Dallas Cowboys with his sons. He will be missed dearly from family, friends, fellow coworkers, and The Andover Volunteer Fire Department. Gary proudly served on the Andover fire department for 19 years supporting the residents of Andover.
Gary passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday afternoon (12/9/2020). Prior to this devastating event, Gary was released from his job due to the covid-19 pandemic. In the end of November, Gary was diagnosed with coronavirus. Gary’s symptoms worsened, and was hospitalized, for 5 days in an isolation unit. He was then discharged Saturday afternoon and despite Gary’s best efforts to overcome the virus, he unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday afternoon in his home. Despite the best efforts of his wife, (Geri-Lin Calve), mother, (Christina Calve), and the Andover fire department, they were unsuccessful in resuscitating Gary. He passed away at approximately 2:30 pm. The family extends its gratitude to everyone that attempted to save Gary’s life, and are humbled by everyone’s heartfelt condolences and support; unfortunately due to the hardships of the covid-19 pandemic, and the lapse of his life insurance we would greatly appreciate if you could assist us in these very troubling, and difficult times by granting our family with a donation to assist covering the costs associated with his tragic passing.
